Elexis is a Chicago native of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. Her cooking curiosities started as a kid when her mom would leave the Food Network channel on all day long. Fast forward many years and she found herself signing up for The Chopping Block’s Culinary Boot Camp where she was inspired to finally achieve her dreams - leave corporate offices behind, go to culinary school and work in kitchens. After years on the line, she decided to follow a second dream: teaching culinary. Things came full circle when she was offered a position as Class Assistant at TCB, putting her on the path to Chef Instructor.
