Rosle in the Kitchen

Students often ask about my favorite kitchen utensils and the best brands to purchase. I believe purchasing the right tools is a good investment and in regards to the brand, it all comes down to preference. However, I’m a huge fan of Rosle products! I came across the brand pretty early in my culinary career, while still a student myself. I value the high quality tools' design and functionality, and most importantly, the company’s integrity. The family-owned company was founded in 1881 in the beautiful state of Bavaria, Germany, which happens to be my home state also!

Rosle focuses on good design, quality, and function and all of their products come with a lifetime warranty. The Chopping Block uses these tools in our cooking classes and private events, and we carry them in our retail stores. If you have taken a hands-on class with us, you know how fun it is to learn how to prepare beautiful dishes and how important it is to use the right tool for the right job.

Let me highlight a few tools that I find particularly useful. The Stainless Steel Garlic Press is a time saver, easy to clean and do you know that you don’t even need to peel the garlic clove beforehand? Pretty cool! We use the Crosswise Swivel Peeler a lot in our classes, and I also recommend the Stainless Steel Grater (the fine one can double as a zester). I’m a big fan of the Stainless Steel Lock & Release Silicone Coated tongs, and my all time favorite tool is the Flat Whisk. Along with well-designed soup ladles, silicon spatulas and many more products, Rosle is definitely one of my all time favorites!

I'm not the only one at The Chopping Block that loves Rosle. Our Owner/Chef Shelley Young shows you how amazing the peelers are in this video.

Stop by our stores to test drive any of our Rosle tools at any time.
