Active Time: 10 minutes
Start to Finish: 20 minutes

For this recipe you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 pint (12 ounces) blueberries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  1. In a small saucepan combine the butter, blueberries, sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice. Set over medium-high heat.

  2. Bring up to a low boil and stir gently until the berries soften and release their natural juices, about 5 minutes. The consistency should remain a bit coarse. Remove from the heat.

  3. Allow to cool for at least 10 minutes; the sauce will thicken as it cools.
