Pork Brine

Brining is a great idea for all your favorite lean meats, like chicken breasts and pork chops, because it helps make them juicier and flavorful.

For this recipe you’ll need:

  • 4 cups cold water

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1/2 lemon, cut into slices

  • 1 sprig rosemary or other herbs of your choice

  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed

  • 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns

      1. Whisk together the water, salt, sugar, lemon, rosemary, garlic and peppercorns, ensuring the salt has completely dissolved. Tip: You can double or triple this recipe to accommodate larger pieces of meat.

      2. Add your meat and brine as instructed.
